What is Travedu?

Why do we travel? People seek friction: They want to be put in new situations that take them out of their comfort zone. People want to see new cultures, hear new sounds, meet new people, and eat new foods. As much as it goes against logical thinking, we need to take ourselves away from what is safe and go someplace where nothing is certain and anything can happen. While the majority of the world gave up nomadic living thousands of years ago, people still want to leave home, even if only for a few days.

As students, we have more opportunities than most to put ourselves in these situations. We can go on programs that emphasize a variety of cultures. We can get cheaper tickets. We can even get paid to travel, which is truly the holy grail of the curious mind. We believe in our in invincibility and are most curious.

As our name suggests, Travedu hopes to bring exploring and education together. We aim to increase human connection and knowledge of our world all in one place through a unique and simple platform. So much of our world is left to be understood, and who better to explain its intricacies and hidden gems than the people you trust. We are a team of inspired travelers who want to inspire students and young travelers to explore these sights, cultures, experiences, and people around the world. 

Travedu is for those places, people, sounds, and sights we want to share with our friends. It is a way to spread your thoughts on where you are. We want you to tell us your own opinions and thoughts. We want your pictures and recordings. We want to be your travel journal.
